The PowerEdge 1955 delivers true server functionality including up to two Quad-Core Intel^®  Xeon^®  processors, 1333MHz front side bus, up to 32GB Fully Buffered Dimms (FBD), and SATA or SAS hard drives.

 

The PowerEdge 1955 not only shares many of the features of the PowerEdge 1950, but it also shares a common system architecture. Customers who require the performance and manageability of the PowerEdge 1950 can easily integrate the PowerEdge 1955 into their data center with few changes. For example, the Baseboard Management Controller commonality between platforms allows the PowerEdge 1955 to appear the same way to management applications as existing PowerEdge servers.
